Through wall after wall our little Boy walks through doors installed by the God of the Universe!
Gates is COMING HOME!!!
WE just got word that our Consulate Appointment is confirmed in Guangzhou for June 29th! By God's grace abounding in the final details we are confident that Father and Son will be flying out of China and Homeward bound on China Flight CZ**** the afternoon of June 30th!
This means that Paul will fly out of California ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! He will have one stop in Canada then on to Beijing! He should arrive in Lanzhou on the 19 (China time) and sign the adoption registration on Father's Day! Gates will be brought to the Hotel on Sunday and the two of them will spend a fun filled week of paperwork and appointments in Lanzhou City until the 28th when they will fly to Guangzhou. Once in Guangzhou the U.S. Embassy stuff begins! That's how it all stands right now! Tickets to and from China are booked! Thank you Jesus!
I will keep posting as it happens. The money is not yet here to take care of China expenses in country, but we aren't letting our hearts be troubled or afraid we believe God and in Christ his son our Lord and He is ABLE!

Ahhhh, what wonderful news! I look forward to following this, Karrie! It will take me back to our own time in China! Will Dad be posting pictures? I can close my eyes and visualize the day he becomes a Rudd Forever. His little foot will be stamped in red ink along with Dad's fingerprints....it is a special moment, one of my favorite memories.
Good luck to Dad on is travels. Tell him once he gets to Guangzhou, he can eat "american" at Lucy's just down the street. They are kid friendly and the atmosphere is familiar.

That's pretty amazing and such a neat detail that he'll be signing the papers on Father's Day. What a Father we have!
