Almost Bedtime in Lanzhou.

Gates is amazing! It's so good to see him again! It broke my heart when we lost internet connection after only one skype session. I'm thankful this morning for the wonderful time I had watching Gates play in their 'upgraded' THANK YOU LORD! room. Gates looks so much more relaxed after several hours in one place. His cough continues but you can hear that he is getting better hydrated having constant access to his bottle of electrolyte solution mixed in bottled water. The agency rep and a physician in Guangzhou called Paul this evening to ask about how it's going and to listen to his cough via phone again. The little guy never stops moving. He has figured out a way to play basket ball using the little orange Nerf ball from his Elmo back pack and tossing through the top level of bars on the roll around porter cart for hanging clothes. lol

You should see Him!! He backs up to the bed lining up his feet and lines up the shot pushing the ball out from his chest like an Orlando Magic center! lol I'm guessing he liked playing with the big boys! The size 24 months clothes we packed are loose on him but he looks SO cute goofing around the room in his little league red, white and blue baseball shirt and Thomas the train underwear. I watched the two of them play and at one point the basket ball hit Paul against the side of his face, Paul 'fake fell' as if knocked down with an 'ooof' sound and Gates belly laughed for more than a minute. Slapstick is big with little boys no matter where they are born!
