Cutie Two Shoes.

We had a fun day today. It's a little quiet as both boys have colds but it's still been a good day. We took the little guys for new shoes a week ago and Gates wore a size eight wide. Wide just cracks me up, his foot is a little over three inches wide. C'mon. How wide is a medium width. I suppose compared with the infants that usually wear a shoe this little his foot may be wide. Ha!
Bridger has done this before obviously but up until recently Gates has worn the little soft sided Robeez shoes in size twenty four months or his sandals which adjust all the way around. He slept with those sandals remember? When I told him we were going to buy new shoes he crouched down and put his hands protectively over each shoe and said, "NOOOOOOOO" You should have seen his face when he realized he would have two pairs of shoes at once. I cried as he cheered, "Oh! Thank You lou (lou always follows thank) Mamma! Two shoes!"

We have a family friend who sells shoes as one of his jobs and he is a fave of Bridgers so since Bridger was so relaxed having James size his foot Gates only took a little convincing to put his foot onto the little steel plate. It took a couple of tries to get him to leave it there while the guides were slid into position. Actually, Daddy ended up doing the actual foot touching while Jame coached from the sidelines until he had the information he needed. Gates is a little suspicious. Who can blame him?
